Polypores de France et d´Europe-Bernard Rivoire
Author: Editorial staff 23 September 2019
All European Polypores have been studied, described and illustrated, from personal work. This book is the culmination of forty years of research, collections, and studies of Polypores. The author has manipulated and studied specimens of almost all Europeans Polypores, and he de-scribed them through a common frame that facilitates comparisons between them by following an identical plan. Thus, it shows easier to compare each species with the others. Taxonomy refers to the most recent works. Each species is described with a taxonomic part, a descriptive part, plus original comments and illustrations (including photos of the spores). A general key allows access to the genera or species directly. For each genus, a key precedes the description of the species. All keys will be translated into English. 122 genera, 416 species are described and illustrated.
A book of nearly 1000 pages, abundantly illustrated.
An appendix provides a guide for the description of Polypores allowing to understand the descrip-tive process and the meaning of the terms used.
